Goering Center Membership Registration

Core Membership

Core Membership is reserved for family and private businesses that are effectively controlled by a family, families, or an individual.

Family Business: Business in which two or more family members are employed in the business, share ownership, or are primary decision makers; the business family has majority ownership; and are not publicly traded.

Private Business: Non-related individuals own more than 50 percent of the company.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership with the Goering Center means that, while you have access to the same member pricing as Core Members, you do not have the same goals and intentions in terms of growing and preparing your business for transition, but rather are interested in building relationships with Core Members in order to gain insights from them and hopefully ultimately serve them.

Professional Services Registry (PSR)

Included with Associate Membership - available as add-on for Core Members

Family and private businesses encounter very unique issues over the course of their evolution, and they rarely have all the expertise they need in house. This is where the Professional Services Registry of the Goering Center comes into play.

Several of our Goering Center membership specifically offer the expertise that family and private businesses need and have their profiles listed in the PSR. Note: Participation in the PSR is included with Associate Membership.

Peer Roundtables

Available to current members only.

There are two undeniable truths: opportunity is born from challenge and change is constant.

Our Peer Roundtables provide a forum for collaborative peer sharing about strategic and tactical business issues, within the larger context of your personal and family concerns. Consider this your very own board of advisors, whose number-one goal is to help you achieve or restore balance.
